About a year ago, we lost almost our whole flock of chickens due to a trio of unfortunate events (fox, hawk…my dog, Ruby). We got a new flock of chicks (eighteen to be exact) in the summer, which all came to maturity this winter. This means we’re getting over a dozen eggs a day. No matter how many cartons of eggs we give away, we’re knee-deep in eggs.
